Instead of succumbing to the despair of my childhood, I ... Cultivated my intellect as a foil, Nurtured anger as my fuel, Sharpened my tongue as a shield.
And so intuitively ... Instead of magna cum laude, I graduated with 3 degrees in 5 years, Instead of an MBA, I started 6 businesses, Instead of a cushy job, I chose the nomadic life.
Which worked gloriously until life threw a few curve balls ... And shattered my sense of self into a million pieces, Along with arrogance, self-delusion and hollow cynicism, Thus initiating me into the timeless halls of humility.
As I tethered on the brink of the abyss ... On my knees, my heart began to awaken, And I glimpsed the eternity that resides in the now, And understood that peace is not out there.
But contained in the heart of every human soul.
Thus initiated into the timeless halls of humility ... Began my journey into myself, To embrace the wholeness of my be-ing, That I may truly honour the humanity in all.
This is my journey as it unfolds ... I've finally had the courage to share, Because I now see that we are all connected, And thus the imprint of my life's experiences is weaved into every detail of my work.
